Discount Calculator
Example: 20% off 150
How the discount calculator works
A discount lowers the original price by a percentage. The calculator first finds the amount you save, then subtracts that saving from the original price to get the final price.
For example, 20% off 150 means the saving is 30, because 150 × 20 ÷ 100 = 30. The final price is 120, because 150 − 30 = 120. This is useful for sales, coupons, online shopping, invoices and quick price checks in a store.
Use the original price before the discount, then enter the discount percentage shown on the sale label. The result shows both the final price and the amount saved.
Formula
Final price = Original price − (Original price × Discount percentage ÷ 100)
